Who we are

We are a coalition of Black professionals and allies who have joined forces to bring about much needed change.

We speak from lived experience

Accelerate Auto is a not-for-profit coalition spanning various industry sectors across automotive, including manufacturers, dealerships, industry associations, and suppliers.

There are two fundamental issues we are tackling:

There aren’t enough Black people working across automotive: So we are actively promoting the industry to Black talent in high schools, colleges and in other industries through speaking engagements and other partnerships. We are also actively promoting scholarships for Black talent, and collaborating with educational institutions.

There are very few Black people in senior positions or in ownership positions: So we are showcasing the talent that is in our industry, developing mentoring programs, advocating to industry groups and employers to help identify and dismantle systemic barriers that are hampering progress, and helping lead the change that is needed.
